Q: How long does it take to get a website done?
A: A basic website can take up to three weeks to create, a really simple one can be done over a weekend. That time frame can change based on the number of pages that need to be created, artwork needed to be created, and if additional features are part of the design. If time is a concern, please let me know what your needs and expectations are at the beginning.
Q: If I just need quick help can you charge just per hour or do I need a contract?
A: I am happy to work with you without a contract if the project is short/quick. I can charge in 15-minute increments.
Q: Why should I worry about security?
A: Security is very important and all sites I create come with a professional security plug in installed. The main concerns with website security relate to the potential for external access by unwanted people/entities – typically referred to as “hackers” – who can gain access to your information and/or take control of your site. The website platforms I use, such as WordPress, have security options that help ensure only allowed people have access to your page. I will walk you through the process of using all related security elements.
Q: If I want to add something to the site while it’s being made or after is that possible?
A: Yes, additions to the site are possible. The time and expense involved will depend on what the addition involves.
Q: Do you offer hosting?
A: No, I can recommend hosting companies.
Q: Do you offer ongoing maintenance if you didn’t create the site?
A: No, with my schedule I am unable to full maintenance of a site. I would recommend getting somebody that is a full time freelancer who would be able to fix the problem when it comes up. I can only do an fixes in evenings and weekends.
